3 Cups Drawing
The 3 Cups Drawing was the first drawing to complete in the class. The task was to lay out three cups and draw them with a goal of good composition in mind. To achieve a good composition, the layout of the cups and the orientation of the paper played a big part. I layed the cups in a close triangle shape to avoid tangents between the cups and have a good representation of the height of the bases. I kept proportion in mind, making sure to have the wine bottle as the tallest, and the pitcher as being the widest. To improve this drawing, I could have spaced the cups just a little farther apart to remove some negative space and replace it with positive space. I also could have spent more time on shading to make the drawing more realistic and less plain.
